Roots & Rhythm : Official Tour Update

Out of respect for unforeseen personal circumstances affecting one of our artists, the upcoming California performances have been postponed.

A message from Muditā Agency and the Neptune Family

With heavy hearts, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming Roots and Rhythm concerts scheduled for July 30 – August 1.

Due to unforeseen personal circumstances, Giridhar Udupa is unable to travel to the US and join us. Out of respect for him and for everything this artistic collaboration represents, we have chosen to postpone these performances rather than move forward without him.

Roots & Rhythm was created as a musical dialogue between John Kaizan Neptune and Giridhar Udupa. Their friendship, shared musical language, and decades-long connection are at the very heart of this project. Rather than present a different version, we feel it is important to preserve its original spirit and wait until they can share the stage together.

We know many of you have made plans to join us, and we are deeply sorry for the disappointment this news may bring.

As an independently produced project, this decision has been incredibly difficult—and truly heartbreaking—but we know it is the right one for the artists, for the music, and for everyone who has supported this journey.

Our thoughts are with Udupa and his loved ones, and we simply want to give him the time and space he needs right now. We remain fully committed to bringing the complete Roots & Rhythm experience to Southern California when the time is right, and will share updates as plans take shape. We expect to know more in August and aim to bring this series to you before the end of the year.

We are deeply grateful to our audiences, venues, presenters, partners, volunteers, and everyone who has believed in this project from the very beginning. Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your compassion through these challenging circumstances.
